New mod for Xbox 360, 'Freeboot' Finally we can play games from hard drive without needing the disc! Not only that, but new homebrew programs are being released on a daily basis that are making 'getting the most out of your console' even easier, and games can be stored and played from any hard drive or USB device! Games can be installed using the normal NXE dashboard (install to hard drive), then you run NXE2GOD to unlock all installed games, and you can play it from your games list without the disc. You can update to the latest XBReboot whenever they are released, directly on your 360, by running a homebrew app called Flash360. You just download the update, save it to the root of any usb device, insert it into the 360 and run Flash360 from the game library. This only works on an already FreeBoot modded console of course. You can edit files within games, strip out unnecessary videos etc and save alot of hard drive space. You can delete the $update folder so the game doesn't ask you to update the dashboard before playing (any official update will most likely overwrite the FreeBoot data, so you should only do FreeBoot updates). The FreeBoot dash currently runs at 2.0.9199.0, so all new games play without needing to update. You can also remove the region code and make other changes of the game using XC360. Alot more things are possible, editing avatars, gamerscores, achievements, pretty much everything. NEW* XeXMenu : Allows you to network to your PC to transfer games or update the flash! This is another awesome homebrew program that will no doubt make any FreeBoot user very happy, it eliminates the need for any device to transfer over to the box, no need to connect the 360 hard drive to the PC, just FTP the files directly onto the 360 while its running. Its a whole new dashboard, loaded from your Games library on any FreeBoot modded 360. Check your dash version, if you have 7371 or lower, you can get the mod. If you want to buy a premodded console, we have brand new Jasper models in stock for a limited time. All off the shelf consoles are currently not FreeBoot moddable. |
