So you don't already have a 360 that can be JTAG'd? They are next to impossible to find in shops around NZ. We have access to the few remaining Brand New Jasper 360 consoles so you better get in quick (this is not a joke!)

This is a great way to get into the world of 360 homebrew, a world that doesn't ask you to insert the disc before playing from hard drive, a world free of the restrictions the manufacturer works hard to impose on you, so you can have total control over how you use your console, the way it should be.

If you include a hard drive with this package, we'll also include the main homebrew apps such as FreeStyle Dashboard, XEXmenu 1.0, NXE2GOD, MAME360 and Flash360 on your hard drive, ready to load from the games library. You need to load these apps from the 360 hard drive as they cannot load from a external USB device.

If you plan to use a small 360 hdd (ie. 20gb/60gb with a large external hard drive) we can add another feature to the flash file (XBR/FreeBoot) that automatically boots into FreeStyle dash for instant access of USB stored games, you can select it from the drop down box below (not recommended for those who want to use a big 360 hard drive to store games).

These JTAG'd consoles are not Xbox Live safe, do not attempt to connect to Xbox Live, it is against the terms and conditions and will result in banning of the console from the service.

These are Jasper SKU consoles which means 65nm CPU + GPU, less heat produced, less power consumed, less noise, less chance of failure. Playing games from hard drive drastically reduces the operating temp of the console, meaning these consoles should out live all others.

Another option you have is to have the DVD ROM modded with the latest firmware, which will allow you to read and copy your backup discs, as the standard drive wont read backups even with the JTAG mod. It's not essential, but its an option for those who have heaps of copied discs and want to still play them or store them on hard drive.

Block Updates Option:

We can safely bridge some points on the underside of the motherboard, which will prevent any e-fuses being blown if you were to accidentally perform an update from a disc which could overwrite the custom part of the NAND and prevent the console booting up. This costs an extra $22.50 and while isnt essential, it is recommended if you have kids or other people putting new game discs into the console.

Get in quick to secure one of the last JTAG-able consoles, once they are gone, its a waiting game to see if newer dashboards and consoles will be hackable.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS

How many games can I fit on the hard drive?
Each game is around 7gb, so devide the total hard drive size by 7 and you get a good estimate ie. 250gb/7 = 35

How do I update my JTAG console when updates are released?
Simply download the updated NAND file to the root of a USB device and run Flash360 from your Game Library, thats the easiest way, or you can send it over the network while running FreeStyle/XEXmenu. You could also bring/sent it to the Modz workshop and leave it to the pro's.

What about when a game update comes out? Can I do it?
A game update will probably overwrite the precious custom nand files, so dont do it! You can safely delete the $UPDATE folder from the main game folder using FreeStyle/XEXmenu so it doesnt ask to update. You can only do this with games installed with FreeStyle/XEXmenu. NXE installed games are installed differently and you cannot delete any files.

How much cooler is a JTAG modded 360 over a normal one?
Approximately 30 million times better, who doesn't want full control over their game console? Remember the old Xbox? They are still cool and they are old as! There are so many more useful functions once modded, the thriving homebrew scene sees to that with nearly daily releases of top programming aimed to help you get the most out of your console, which is what MODZ.CO.NZ is all about baby! Yeah!

What about a warranty, got one of those bro?
Well the manufacturers warranty will be voided when we hack the sh*t out of the motherboard with wires, diodes and alternative NAND images, but we will offer a limited 1 year warranty with these consoles, we will fix any small faults (such as DVD drive not reading) quickly and easily for free, and if it has a more serious problem like the 3 red lights we will attempt a reflow of GPU for free (which fixes 90% of 3 red light fixes), but if a replacement console is required, it may be difficult to source another JTAG-able console. We could offer a non-JTAG'd console for the mean time, or work out some other deal, but rest assured we will not see you wrong. That is a worst case scenario question, followed by our best policy honest answer :) At the end of the day we want you to enjoy maximum gaming so we will do our best to ensure that.

What else should we know before buying one of these super dooper spacie machines?
You should be prepared to update the homebrew apps every now and again. It might not effect any of your game play, but will get you used to how the system works so you can work some things out for yourself, if you have glitches or bugs pop up. All homebrew apps are non-official and in trial stage, getting updated all the time to fix things and to add new features, so its best to keep on top of them. Keep your eyes on the modding scene at www.xbox-scene.com and www.xboxhacker.net - new things are being released on these sites daily. You can find useful things on Xbins, and autoXbins is the useful app to get you there easily. Use forums if you want to find out about new things, sign up and start posting q's or help others if you know something they don't. Be kind to animals and love the planet. Play fast, Rock hard.
